Re: How do you deal with friends "growing up"?

You get new friends, and/or you simply deal with the new realities of the lives of your old friends. Unfortunately kids and careers take a lot of people's time and energy, and those become precious things. Priorities change and going out becomes expensive if you have to pay for a sitter (a nice thing to do would be pay for a sitter and take your friends out for the fun thing you used to do), idk. I feel you though.

Honestly, I wouldn't object to paying a sitter on principle, but almost all of the settled ones are financially better off than I am.
