Two-fisted, Art Deco sci-fi adventure?

Yep, pretty much.

Two recommendations then:

First, they're making a new version of Doc Savage, which is maybe the single most important influence and progenitor for that entire genre. And it's going to have the Rock and Shane Black is apparently involved, so it's probably going to be good, so look out for that.

Second, you might consider checking out Buckaroo Banzai. It's a different aesthetic - completely detached from the 30s Art Deco stuff, and instead super 80s and gonzo - and the film drags a little. But it does have two-fisted action and absurd science.

The Shadow (1994 film with Alec Baldwin - I've never seen any of the older ones) isn't a very great movie, but it kind of falls along those lines.
