I used to love going to the dentist (I was a weird kid ok) but two years ago one of my dentists fucked up bad, REALLY BAD... think horror movie bad
so now every time I go to a dentist (and due to personal reasons I'm not gonna go into, I have to have regular check-ups every other week) I get a "physical" panic attack
while in my mind I acknowledge nothing bad's gonna happen and I don't feel scared, like at all, my body starts involuntarily trembling, my teeth chatter and I can't stop crying
which leads to anxiety after the check-ups

fucks me up

Omg I had one of those, they are awful. It is so confusing! Some guy I barely knew hugged me at a pool party is what set it off.

At least you know why yours happens.

it's such a weird (and yea, confusing) feeling

like how can I be upset when I'm not really upset? does this kinda phenomenon have a name?
