Flying

When you fly do you dress for comfort or for looking good when you land?

The easy answer would be it depends on how long the flight is.

Long enough so I'll have to sleep on it? Comfort all the way

A little bit of both? I like to wear a particular mid-calf length dress, which is the most comfortable for me, but it's also what I feel I look my best in.

Both. It's been a long time since I've flown in winter, and I've taken to wearing summer dresses on planes* and my favorite summer dresses both look good and are comfortable. I wear nice sandals and then take them off on the plane and put on compression socks until we get close to landing (and don't bother putting on my sandals to go to the bathroom). I also bring a lightweight longsleeve layer in case I get chilly.

*despite how my grandmother always used to insist one should always wear either long pants or long, narrow skirts on planes so you wouldn't get a friction burn if you had to go down the emergency slide.

Lmao I like your grandmother! Be prepared for anything, lol!

comfort >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

but I try to at least look clean + smell fresh (NO perfume/aftershave, just soap and deodorant)

I might do my hair and nails but only if I'm not in a hurry

moisturize like hell because airplane dryness (I don't want my skin to dry out and break out) ----> serum, moisturizer with sunscreen

also no jewelry/belt/watch/etc so I don't have to take them off during security checks

Comfort. I'm not scared of flying, exactly, but a lot of elements of it make me a little uncomfortable. I'd rather wear soft, comfortable clothing and sleep through the flight.

Comfort. It's not like there's paparazzi waiting for me when I land; I have plenty of time to glam up. Days, in fact.

Depends on what I'm doing when I get off the plane, do I have a layover, and how long is the flight. Also is it a redeye? If it's a redeye, screw it all, I'm in PJs.

comfort, definitely. don't want to be a total slob, but comfort takes precedent. jeans, sneakers, casual top, simple earrings, sweater, or something along those lines.

Comfort. I hate flying, so anything that can make it even a slight bit better is good.

Comfort, hands down. Nobody looks good after a long plane flight, there's no point.

The only places I have flown is bewteen Sydney and Brisbane - in both case the people who would me me at the airport is my parents - and New Zealand.

Basically I dress the same way I always dress, comfortable, clean and presentable. Because I might be able to get away with being a bit on the messy side with Dad, but I don't want to look awful to flight attendants and other passengers.

You can do both! A pair of track or yoga pants, white tee, cardigan/wrap, and sandals or slip-on sneakers! I add a pair of hoop earrings and a simple ring or two because I am a jewelry person, and I am good to go.

Comfort and convenience. My favorite flying jeans are men's flannel-lined (I've become a wimp since moving away from my desert home...), a little big around the waist, and because they're men's jeans they have functional pockets -- like back pockets deep enough to keep my wallet in place when I stand up, and front pockets deep enough so that my phone won't stab me in the hip. If I can fit a paperback in the other back pocket, all the better, but I haven't had jeans like that in a couple years.

Basically, anything I can do to avoid carrying bags. I hate carrying things on trips.
