I hated the 2011 movie. I think the pettiest complaint I had about was that they could not get a dog at the end of the 2011 one that looks like the dog from the 1982 version. Out of all the huskies in the world, they couldn't find one that looks like the one form 1982???

Yes! This! That drove me absolutely crazy. It's especially annoying because they worked very hard on getting all the details of the Norwegian base so accurate. As I recall, they had hundreds of screenshots from the original on-hand so that they could recreate the Norwegian base down to the smallest detail.

And yet... they couldn't find a dog that looked the same?
