Uber question

Is there a way to schedule Uber for a specific time? I currently rely on it, and because it involves work the time ambiguity can be frustrating. (Especially as sometimes it'll say the driver is 10 minutes away, but when I plug in to get picked up, it tells me 20. Kind of a difference...)

Pretty sure you can do that with Lyft. Not sure about Uber.

How do you balance the need to be self-sufficient and independent with the desire for external validation?
