So, my great-aunt died

Well, she actually died in Saturday, but I only found out today, right before leaving for work, so that was fun.


We were pretty close (more so than with my real aunt), though I hadn't seen her for almost 2 years as she lived abroad.

I'm sort of cross with my mom as she apparently knew her health was declining, and I'd been urging her on to visit for about a year now. Honestly if I'd known, I'd probably have taken out some savings and traveled alone.

I feel sad I didn't get to say goodbye.

She was old and died in her sleep - but like, it's one less person I have in the world.

I totally understand feeling a little angry about that. I know it's not the same thing, obviously, but maybe if and when you get a chance, you can find some special, personal way to honor her?
