I actually do have a physical TV, and I can stream the bf's Netflix or watch DVD's - but, it's honestly weird if you don't see reality shows, talk shows, commercials etc. for YEARS, it looks completely insane when you do see it.

Fake jobs are a terrible, depressing thing and might get worse still with more automatisation.

(And I never got Starbucks, but I don't like coffee. Their hot cocoa is meh)

I haven't had a TV for years, either, and when I do see commercials and stuff it's pretty wild. They're so... flickery. And so annoying. I don't know why people put up with it. I also don't get that thing where people just turn on the TV and LEAVE IT ON in the background, what the hell.

And another person agreeing on the fake jobs, here. Then again, society in general is struggling with transitioning to a time of plenty. We honestly don't need to be working nearly as much as we do, but people are so married to the idea of "you must work!!!" that they manufacture work for it. The whole thing is messed up. We could all be getting free - or almost free - produce, especially given how much produce is thrown away... and don't get me started on the produce that's trashed for not being "pretty" enough.

My bf's family do that - it'so so annoying.

And yeah, don't get me started on food waste. It makes me actively angry.
