It is a waste! And this is pricier ice cream so they should be there. Could be worse. I once got a batch of rocky road without any nuts. THAT IS JUST CHOCOLATE AND MARSHMALLOWS! :(

I know this isn't a great substitute if it's fat and sugar you're craving, but if you have a powerful blender, some combo of frozen mango, frozen banana, lime zest and/or juice, and if you're okay with dairy, greek yogurt, aproximates soft serve texture.

I'm still way too upset over a conversation with a customer earlier.

He brought some fabric up to be cut, and we were talking about what he was making (a play tee-pee for his son), when he embarrassedly noted the free pattern he'd picked up made mention of our kids' sewing classes, advertised as "perfect for Mom, too!" That he wanted to sign his son up, but wasn't sure if he'd be welcome to come with him, as he was not Mom (Mom, in this case, is nowhere even close to the picture). I'd never even paid any attention to the ad. It's so needlessly alienating-- our clientele is honestly almost 50/50 men and women. I just feel so awful over the whole thing, even though it's not something I have any control over.

It's the salt, especially in Westernized Chinese food. It can dehydrate you, which makes you think you're hungry when you're actually thirsty.

Chinese food (or westernized Chinese food) isn't any saltier than fast food or American restaurant food. Not sure your theory really holds up.
