Haha, Skyrim is definitely my favorite, but I really love Morrowind and Oblivion too in their own ways.

I love how hostile Morrowind is, with the outlandishly racist Dunmer, murderous daedra worshippers, creepy blighted creatures, cliff racers around every corner. And I love how genteel Cyrodiil seems in Oblivion, hiding it's depth underneath a veneer of fluffy fantasy./

I'd probably like Morrowind more if it wasn't just such a nightmare to play. I'd like to actually hit things I swing a sword at without a dice roll getting in the way, thanks. The setting was unique for fantasy (and TES is kind of a weird hodge-podge of various fantasy tropes anyway)

Oblivion was more playable, but I found it to be kind of bland slurry in terms of visuals and overall vibe -- borrowed too much from Lord of the Rings. Skyrim I think nailed what I was looking for out of the series.

Aw, that's why they invented mods! I'm pretty sure there's all kinds of combat overhauls for MW. It is a bit nightmarish, though. Especially leveling. D:

Oblivion is hilariously bland, but I really love some of the questlines so I suffer through. Plus, my Oblivion Altmer mage is also my Skyrim Altmer Stormcloak, so it adds some personal continuity.

Altmer Stormcloak, there's an interesting juxtaposition!

As a Khajiit player, Morrowind bugs me...the inability to wear most boots or helmets might be realistic, but it's highly inconvenient.
