I have a feeling, from her design and general demeanour, that I'd really, really like Tenten if Kishimoto ever once in his career deigned to give her the spotlight. Or a fight scene. Or, you know, a speaking line. Even one.

Actually, I don't think any of the female Naruto characters get the attention and kick-ass moments they deserve like all the boys get.

Yeah, no kidding. I could feel the sexism dripping off of Naruto as a palpable thing, and I'm usually oblivious to that sort thing.

I'm not going to say that Tenten is critical to the plot or anything, because OMG she is not. She is like the manga's wallpaper: frequently present, but never ever important or noticed. But, if she actually got to do something, i think I would like her a lot. We can always hope.

:( Tenten got two fights. And she talks the normal amount when she shows up, or at least that's the impression I remember getting. That's about the same as most of the secondary konoha kids as long as they're not loud and in-your-face (like idk, Kiba or Lee), isn't it? Certainly more than a lot of others. Can we say Kurenai?

She had one fight that I remember, and that was offpanel except for the very end. Oh, she did blow up some random goon or trap or something during the whole Rescue Gaara thing, but. Random goon. Not a real fight.

And I honestly can't think of a single speaking line she's had. The only thing I'm getting is some internal monologue during Naruto's fight with Neji, which was just her describing how awesome Neji is. I can't recall anything else, and I was looking for it.

... huh. Well obviously you're right since you actually looked, I'm just not sure what gave me the impression otherwise then. ... XD Probably fandom. OH WELL my bad.

Actually, wait, no, she did get a couple lines in Team Gai flashbacks. But all we really got from them was that she's a fangirl of Neji's and of Tsunade's.
