09. YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH! That ending friggen hits you like a sledgehammer to the gut. Also, nothing can prepare you for how absolutely horrible Grae's acting is. Oh. Man.
26. Thank you. I agree with a lot of that. Well, I haven't read the book mentioned, so I can't call opinion on that. I've actually done my best not to conciously compare my Lord and Saviour to the Doctor, but on some levels it works. Not quite on a Narnia-level allegory, but more like something you can find comfortable parallels with. (Because obviously, the Doctor is a very, very flawed person.) But it always struck me as odd that RTD is an aethist, when so much of Doctor Who just makes me feel...hopeful and good and a bit affirmed. It's probably me just projecting, but that's alright too.
And I was having the big "Religion=fandom" discussion today. It's just like being a Star Trek fans. Some people are casual, some people are really into it, and some are large fanboys dressing up as Commander Troi reciting their Klingon Love Poetry, and guess who all the normal ones notice and think of when they think Trekkie.

49. You made me sad too. Different sad. I've never read it, doubt I will. But you just reminded me of how tweaked The System is when it comes to good writing vs popular writing. *sigh*
