That's not actually wildly uncommon. Some people just don't develop them, or develop fewer than four. (Or more than four, which usually really sucks for them.)

I had five wisdom teeth. The dentist I could afford to go to at the time was ridiculously incompetent, so I only got four removed and the fifth is still there. I guess it would make me easy to identify by dental x-rays at least?
