I really don't care about the food and annoys the hell out of me when all that happens in a fic is characters having dinners and breakfasts and the author describes in detail what they're eating. I want to read about the characters, not fucking pasta.

If the characters are having a small meal, I don't mind some detail being written about it, but if it's like a four course meal, maybe dial it back a notch.

On a more serious note.
I personally don't care for long drawn-out descriptions of food (or clothing) either. It's alright as a small detail, but anything more is usually irrelevant (and tends to be unnecessary).
