IA that her relationship with Oz seemed natural and significant at the time, but I'd argue that if he'd shown up in S6 instead of S4, her response to him coming back into her would have been completely different. So while her relationship with him was completely natural at the time, IMHO she changed significantly enough in the following year(s) that she would not look back on her feelings in the same way. Which is why the 'gay' identity always seemed right to me, at least in the later seasons.
