I think that varies from person to person

One day in isolation is about as much as I can handle (and even then I don't like it). For others, probably a week or two would be okay, or somewhere in between. More than that probably isn't really good for anyone.

I was snowed in once for three days at the start of a semester. At first it was amazing because I didn't have to go to class, and could do whatever i wanted without feeling guilty, and my roommate hadn't gotten to town yet, but on the third day I was just stir-crazy. I was actually looking forward to class at that point because i was so isolated, and I hATED college classes.
