The Constant Gardener, because it was a beautifully done adaptation, but also so goddamn grim that I'm not sure I could get through it again.

Requiem for a Dream. I was so emotionally devastated from that movie, I can never watch it again. I can't even watch some of the scenes from it.

This is the first one that comes to mind for me as well. Except that I watched it when I was 19 so I feel like I ought to watch it again, because I'll probably get more from it now. But...I'd really rather not.

Life Is Beautiful (La vita è bella). Great movie, will never watch it again. It's just... too depressing.

The Martian. Just mostly because I can't afford any streaming services, my backwoods hick family is too cheap to get the movie channels with cable. And frankly unless it were shown during the daytime I'd probably be conking out at night while watching it because it's a long (but wonderful) movie.

The Dark Knight. I enjoyed it, but it also hit my depression really hard. Just mentally it isn't a good movie for me.

The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Mostly cause I was in a pretty dark place while I watched it (I didn't know what it was about) and despite liking it it made me also feel way worse, so it reminds me of that dark place.

Schindler's list, I liked it and thought it was very good but it's just too depressing for me to watch again.

It's going to be Life Is Beautiful, because my Italian culture class is going to watch it in a couple of weeks and I know enough about it to know that I am going to love it and also that it is going to leave me a complete wreck

Saving Private Ryan, it was well done, well acted, but the violence felt very real (especially the landing) and I can't watch that again.

Mysterious Skin was such a good movie, but way too much for me to watch again. Same with Prozac Nation.

Off the top of my head, Nightcrawler. It's a great movie, great crime thriller, but the main character is just so creepy and unsettling.

"I Capture the Castle" with Romola Garai and Rose Byrne. I saw it at a particular time in my life in my early 20s, and it inspired me to quit my job and do something entirely different, which led to the career I have now (I literally drove home from the movie, burst into tears over my soul-smothering job, and decided right then to put in my notice the next day).

I've never wanted to see it again, because I know it wouldn't have the same meaning for me now and I would see all these technical flaws and plotholes and bad acting, etc., and I might come to dislike it, which would make me sad.
