I adore Wolfram with every fiber of my being, but he is racist (deciding to hate Conrad because he found out he was half-human (and yes, we all know Wolfram actually loves Conrad very much, but he's gotta get over his hate for humans)), and he really can't take the hint that he freaks Yuuri out a lot with his I'm-a-good-fiance!behavior.

Wolfram's not the only one who's racist, though, and all things considering he gets over it pretty quickly what with Greta and his attitude towards humans has certainly changed by the time the OVAs has rolled around. Wolfram's racism stems, according to the novels, from the influence at a young age from his uncle, who hates humans. Gunter is pretty racist in the beginning too, but Yuuri changes them. That's kinda the point.
And I'm pretty sure Wolfram knows he freaks Yuuri out with his behavior.

I love Yuuri/Wolfram and can't stand shipping Yuuri with any other male, so let me explain why he's awesome. Yuuri is 15 years old, he has relatively no clue about romantic relationships. Wolfram is in love with him, and he knows Yuuri is immature and not ready for 'that kind' of relationship yet. Since Mazoku are very long lived, he has no problem waiting a few years for Yuuri to mature. He just has to make sure that Yuuri does not fall in love with anyone else (or worse, enter a loveless political marriage) in the meantime. The engagement also works to protect Yuuri from predators who will attempt to use him for their own gain by marrying him off to one person or another.
