He's not perfect by far (because perfect people are boring Conrad) but he totally gets some interesting growth and development, really all thanks to Yuuri.

Whether you ship Yuuram or not, his engagement to Yuuri is the best thing that could've happened to him in terms of getting him to be a decent person.

I just recently finished watching the series, and I'm actually pretty disappointed with his character growth. I love him SO SO MUCH, and I guess I just wanted more. I can't wait until his life stops revolving completely around being comic relief (like screaming at anyone who looks at Yuuri... o.O).

I haven't started series 3 but I HEARD ABOUT WOLFRAM CANCELING THE ENGAGEMENT! I almost peed my pants in joy. Maybe I'll finally get some Wolfram awesomeness that isn't attached to Yuuri! (Eeek, it must sound like I hate Yuuri. I don't! I love him, too. :D)

ive grown to distrust a lot of anime in terms of character developement T_T it's sad cus i tend to stop watching a series all together if a character who's a poo doesn't get any better. i mean i have a soft spot for the kid kinda but blarg. blond royal borderline*shotas should not act this way! TAT

Nitpick: borderline shota? XD;;; He's 82 years old, and even though he looks 15ish that's far from shota XD

Borderline shotas might not act that way, but spoiled princes do :P and that boy is spooooiled (though like others have said--a lot of his high-and-mighty attitude was impressed upon him by his uncle).
