It was one of my favorites, too! I remember a big group of Zim fans would meet in an AIM chat nightly and whenever there was an update to that fic (or some others, notably 'Whose Zim is it, Anyway?' and 'Conquer Me'), someone would announce it and we'd all rush to read it at the same time, then proceed hypothesize and squee in chat.

God, it was glorious. XD

By the time I got into the fandom it had been completed, but that sounds like it was a lot of fun! (And oh god, I remember Conquer Me too!) I got in on like...the very tail end of the really good fic, I guess. There was enough to keep me occupied though, certainly! All way better than anything I ever wrote for it too. XD;

It was fun. :D That fandom holds a lot of fond memories for me (some not-so-fond, too, but the good definitely outweighs the bad).

Aw, don't say that! I'm sure it wasn't as bad as you think. I could say the same for myself, honestly. XD The important thing is, though: were you having fun writing? Because I sure was!

Same here, really. I wasn't too involved outside of ficcing, but I made a few friends here and there and it was all good fun. :)

I suppose not. I think a lot of people feel that way for their first fandoms/fics/etc. And I was having fun! And besides, people read them so I suppose it wasn't so terrible. ...and ahaha, now I know why your LJ sounds familiar. I do believe I've read some of your fics, actually!

I made a lot of good friends through the fandom, as well. ^^ In fact, I met the love of my life there!

I know how you feel. God, how I've been tempted to take my old fics down, but I leave them there for posterity's sake! I was more into the art scene myself, and... well, actually, I hate those, too. XD; I like to think of the whole thing as one, big, fun learning experience!

Really? That's so wonderful! Congrats!

Oh, me too. Me too. All of the good things I've written are not on fanfiction.net and I just...want to take it all down, sometimes. But then I leave it up because I can't bear to take it down. Plus, I hate that, when you really like a fic and it DISAPPEARS? Since there were actually people who liked my work, I leave it up for that reason. It really is a great learning experience though, I agree!
