This should be it here (http://www.ashido.com/temp/ascendancyost.zip). I used DOSbox to record the music as it was playing, so some tracks are a bit shorter or longer than others, and for some I had to give them their own names (notably Build, Explore, Research, and Prosper since that's what I was doing when the clips came on) and the race clips are all very short and cut-off in the game, which is weird. I keep reminding myself to go into the CD with my extracting software and see if I can find like, the raw tracks, but they're in some weird format or something. Ah well.
I was so lame and lazy, I tended to play as the Govorom cause their special ability was fun to exploit. |D

Also i do dabble in pw occasionally yes 8D

Heh. I usually played as the Chamachies, because I'm overfond of technologies. Either that, or I'd play as the Chronomyst entirely because they looked pretty. >>; I was younger at the time. And the lane travelling thing was useful. Oh right, and the Orfa were fun because you didn't have to terraform everything, and a whole lot of my games had those artifact things on the entirely black-square planets.

hahaha my brothers and dad usually played as the Chamachies too, since that ability is pretty sweet. :D The Orfa made things reaaally convenient too, and the Chronomyst were terribly pretty. :D The Nimbuloids I had some fondness for too, since they had that terribly sad story in the Player's Guide or whatever and I was like D: Nimbuloooidssss sob.

heh, and then I get caught up in other things, and forget to reply too. ^^;

I don't remember what the Nimbuloids' story was. Man, I need to play as everyone again. I only remember thinking that the Balifids looked more creepy than cute, and that I had to quit every game with the Shevars in it. And the Hanshaks always died first.

Me too! Which is really, totally obvious, if I'm playing him. >>; I have almost no icons for him, which isn't really surprising.

It was in that strategy guide that came with it I think... it had a story about the Oculons, the Baliflids, the Chamachies, and the Nimbuloids if I remember right as examples of campaigns, and the Nimbuloids ended up getting blown to pieces by the... Shevar, I think? D: It was really depressing.

Poor Bat and his lack of like... ANY art where his head isn't in a lion's mouth.
