It's been a while since I read Claymore and I still haven't gotten to the ending, but I remember Priscilla scaring the heck out of me.

Priscilla was born with a ridiculous amount of potential to use monstrous abilities, then overused them and became a monster for stupid reasons after being repeatedly warned. She kills likable characters with little fanfare, and she's so absurdly overpowered that even the characters who're essentially gods on Earth can't stand up to her. I generally dislike the way "power levels" are used in Japanese fiction, but Priscilla is particularly painful given that she has so little personality--she's basically just the Plot Reaper to get rid of characters.
