Re: How about that debate?

It really is bizarre to me how bald-faced Trump is with the lying sometimes. Like... Lying happens in politics, but usually there's at least a degree to which it's a question of judgment, or interpretation, or political opinion. Or at least complexity. But like... He just lied about things that were blatantly factual. Like the thing about the Chinese inventing global warming - how on earth can you just deny ever having said that when the tweet where you said it palpably exists? It is mind-boggling in its enormity.

That's the really crazy thing. So much of this is SO EASY to fact check. The problem is, this election, people care less about facts and more about feelings.

To be honest, Clinton tried to retroactively amend a thing or two as well. God knows it's impossible for a politician to just say "I changed my mind". But for Trump, it just feels like he just doesn't understand that the truth isn't a relative concept.

Yeah, like, it's not shocking that politicians lie or misrepresent the truth. It's just like... He didn't even try to spin it or anything. Just said something that was really easily probably wrong and that he had to have known was wrong. How do you go with that as your strategy.

He was shaking his head and denying all the nasty things he said about women and this girl on another site I go to was like, "Your own fucking Twitter says otherwise, you idiot, we can go pull up the actual tweets in two seconds! Quit lying!" It's just so second-nature to him.

And his supporters still don't seem to give a shit. It's...absolutely mind-boggling. I don't GET it.
