It helps highlight the hypocrisy of republicans since it is the only place in the US that gives money away to its citizens no questions asked, allowing many of them to have non-commercial lifestyles, but keeps on propping up republicans in the national politics who deny money to citizens even if they really desperately need it to avoid homelessness or starvation.
