Things you thought would suck but are beating you're expectations.

Either because they're even worse, or because they're better than you thought.

Mine's the latter. I'm part of a workshop choir for a new show (operetta? musical?) by some local artists. The music was fucking hard on my own, but there are so many beautiful moments with the whole choir there. There are about 2, maybe 3, songs I'd happily listen to as a 10hr YT loop.

I've had my second super busy day of the week, the next two are booked just as solid, Saturday is looking really busy, and I just came out of a booked weekend. It's already been a long week, for me, but not in a bad way.

Tell me about your things <3

I will happily make a speech to a bunch of strangers, face to face, but I don't like calling strangers on the phone. Especially when it's to I ask them to volunteer their time for something. So I never expected to be spending three hours at a stretch sitting in a carrel with a phone and a canned spiel and a list of names, calling for volunteers to go door to door to get out the vote. I expected it to be awful. Yet I've already done it three times and I'm signed up to canvass door to door this Saturday. I still worry that I'll do such a bad job that someone will say I'm a good argument for voting for the other candidate, but not as much.

That's great, for so many reasons! :D

I think what you're doing is Super Important; congrats on working to get people out to vote and on doing something you thot would be super unmerving!
