Can anyone recommend bed safe electric foot warmers?

(Anonymous) 2016-09-28 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I have terrible problems with cold feet in the winter. I've tired hot water bottles, and and microwavable rice pads I've had problems with both, so now I want to try electric foot warmers.

Any suggestions?

Would a electric mattress pad work or do you really need something feet-specific?

Foot specific, please.

Could you just use an electric blanket but specifically just fold it over/under your feet?

+1. I get really cold feet in bed during winter, so I use an electric blanket and wrap it around my feet. Works like a charm.

My electric blanket has an option to make the foot section a different temp from the rest. Not sure if that's what you're looking for. I can't find the exact one online but it's a "multi-zone".
I sometimes just have to stick my feet under the shower head as hot as I can handle it before bed in winter. My circulation sucks, and it seems to be the only way to bring blood to the surface. I can put them on heated things and my skin will feel warm, but they're like frozen meals that don't cook in the middle.

Maybe just a basic heating pad with an auto-off function?

Get a heated mattress pad and an electric blanket. Use the electric blanket around your feet and use a thinner blanket for your torso (so you don't end up over heated.

Would that work?
