(Anonymous) 2016-09-29 02:28 am (UTC)(link)That does make sense, them not wanting to bring it all up again. Except that it gets brought up again (by fans) anyway whenever they release anything new, partly because of the lack of information.
I like the idea of them still working on it or drawing it out into a longer arc. That means it's more likely to be something satisfying. But there was a recent behind-the-scenes pic of Prentiss's name on what used to be Hotch's door. So I don't know how likely that is.
And I totally agree with you that focusing on the characters they do have is the best thing to do, except they're not really doing that either. Except for the new guy, we haven't really gotten much info on any other kind of storylines or what's up with the other characters. And it feels like most of that came out just this last week or so.
I don't know. This is definitely a messy situation, possibly even a no-win one, but I still think it could have been handled better. But I might just be biased because I'm annoyed it happened at all.
