I liked the idea of different coloured eyes but I struggled with the "ANY COLOUR" bit. Like sure, two different but general human coloured eyes. But purple and blue? white and black? This is getting too edgy for me ahahah.

Then I remember in the old days I had OCs with blue hair and purple eyes so young me would have loved it.

and I really like the coloured eyes popped up at random stages, so just because your kid made it to 5 or 10, they're not out of the "risk" zone. I wouldn't mind finding when they're conventionally considered a safe age, if coloured eyes can pop up in a settled 20 or 30.

I also like they could have coloured eyes from birth but not know what they're good at for years. A kind of graceling limbo of what am i what do i do.
