In general, "winter" clothing that seems designed for at least spring or fall, if not summer.

Seriously, am I the only person who freezes inside when people show up to holiday parties wearing short sleeve shirts with snowflakes on them?

I get that. I guess it depends on where you live? I mean, here in San Antonio, winter is like Fall was in Boston (and often even hotter than that). So I rarely if ever pull out my actual winter stuff.

Hot? Boston falls are freezing, from my limited experience. I went once before Halloween and it was snowing wtf.

Boston falls are cool to me, my favorite weather. I meant San Antonio winter is in the cool to hot range. The coolest it ever gets is 60s during the day. Honestly, I'm just a person who prefers colder weather to hotter weather.

Or Brisbane, where our winter is the equivalent to most temperate northern hemisphere summers. Woe be to a northerner who visits here in January without being prepared to sweat, and the sweat hard (and we're not half as bad as Northern Queensland where, as my Dad put it, when he lived in the Whitsundays, in winter he thought about putting on a shirt - thought about it).

I often dress for what inside temperatures will be like if that's where I'm going to be. I'll put on a sweatshirt in summer to prepare for a place with really high air conditioning and I wear short sleeves when I know I'm going to get hot walking around in a heated place with a lot of people, no matter what the weather is like outside.

I wear t-shirts like that over long sleeve shirts.

But then I end up feeling overheated if I walk around a lot. I end up feeling uncomfortable hot much more easily than cold, so I can't always wear heavy, warm clothing.

that's supposed to be "resort" or "holiday" wear.

I've been to fashion school and the teachers couldn't even explain it properly. Needless to say I never did well on those assignments.
