The important thing about Ringo Starr is that he has a magic mirror that lets him look into an alternate universe. In that universe, when he was a teenager and his dickhead friend said "Hey, wanna be in my band?" he said "I think I really need to concentrate on my schoolwork, but thanks." In that universe, Richard Starkey manages the second-largest plumbing supply warehouse in Liverpool, and has two failed marriages and kidney stones.

Every morning, Ringo Starr wakes up on the giant pile of money he uses for a bed, checks his messages from various celebrities and beautiful women who want to meet him, and spends ten minutes gazing into that mirror. And then the rest of the day, he knows he has absolutely nothing to complain about.
