Honestly, this. Everyone makes really small children too witty.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-30 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Witty, or absurdly dumb, with weird faux baby-speak.

I personally want more child characters that actually sound like kids. I guess some people find it annoying, but I like it.

I agree! It's really charming

Eh... you mean physically? If so, Simba sounded like a kid too, but then, he was played by one at the time (Jonathan Taylor Thomas).

If you mean in terms of maturity, not sure I'd agree with that either.

LOL MAJ. BAMBI

Baby Todd and Copper from Fox & the Hound were pretty believable kids, especially the whole "Why can't I play with him?" vibe.

For sure, especially Copper <3

Huh? Mowgli and Simba sounded like actual kids to me. A lot do. You need to watch more stuff if fucking Bambi is the only example you can find.

Why do so many people have strong ridiculous opinions on children in fiction.
don't children probably vary across time and place like anyone else??
It just seems much more polarizing than other kinds of dialogue/characters, and I find it totally baffling.

Agree. This is the first movie I saw in a theater. I have such a soft spot for it.

Really?

Boo from Monsters Inc., Dash from The Incredibles, Russell from Up, Michael from Peter Pan, and some others that I'm forgetting sounded like the children their voice actors were, to me.
anarchicq: (Breyog from Flight of Dragons)
