Re: Bouncing off of the professor question...

Like I mentioned in that thread, I had one really bad law school professor. He made things personal, he thought women who had kids couldn't be lawyers (one girl in our class had a child, he targeted her the most), he favored men in general, he never taught well at all, and he was highly critical of everyone that wasn't his favorite student who was the only one in the class interested in corporate law rather than public interest things. He only taught the one class, he was a full time attorney at a firm, so we were never his priority and it showed. When it finally got too personal and he started telling the other woman she should drop out of law school and would never cut it, she and I went to the department supervisor with our TA. Things got a little better, enough to be bearable. The funny thing was, at the last class, he took us all to a bar and tried to be friends with us like he hadn't been a jerk all semester. He was not asked back the next year.

I also had bad, bullying teachers in elementary and middle school, but I had no idea how to deal with them at that age.

That law professor sounds awful. I'm glad he wasn't asked back.

Yeah, it's hard to know what to do when you're a kid.
