Anxiety. I apologize all the time for stupid things, and then apologize for apologizing when people tell me to stop.

It's a stupid loop and it really bugs me when neurotypical people don't think about this stuff.

1) You're assuming that the ayrt is neurotypical.

2) Just because there's a mental health issue at the root of the behavior doesn't mean everyone has to excuse it. I deal with anxiety issues as well and I'm very familiar with the babbling and apologizing to people when it's not necessary. And you know what? That's on me. It's on me because at the time, I'm not handling my anxiety as well as I could, and while I hope people will be understanding, I don't blame them at all for being annoyed by my behavior. I certainly am.
