(Anonymous) 2016-10-01 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)Also, the person in the secret (who was the subject of the conversation, not depressed people in general, or you in particular) wasn't apologizing for existing (lol!) she was apologizing for being a terrible baker... which she wasn't, and for which she received multiple reassurances, every single time, that she was a very talented baker. She was also gently checked by the judges not to be so hard on herself, but she still did it... which is probably why people found her repetitive apologies tedious.
Anxiety, depression and low self esteem are not free passes to do whatever you like without people getting tired of it. When people act like they are, it makes all of us who suffer from these issues look bad.
