Any beers you could suggest for someone who hates them? Or someone who likes them. My sister likes beer.

Drinking any alcohol straight makes me feel manly, tbh.

Blue Moon is, IMO, good beer for someone who doesn't like beer (esp their cinnamon horchata). Also Shock Top's pretzel beer is really good. In general steer away from IPAs or stouts, which IMO are the most aggressively "beer-y" beers. Look for things that advertise a wheat taste, or stuff with a fruity taste (grapefruit is great!). Sam Adams does a Cherry Wheat beer that's stupid yummy.

More generally I'm also a big fan of Harpoon, Brooklyn brewery, and Goose IPA.

All my siblings like Shock Top's beers so I should probably give those and Blue Moon a try. The good news is they are readily available in most places.

Not Sparrow, obvs, but cider is a beer-like drink that doesn't taste like beer, but it *looks* like beer so you get that whole "I'm drinking beer with the gang!" experience without having to drink actual beer. Most bars carry at least one kind of cider.

Also, I tried a gluten-free beer once that I kind of liked (well, hated it less) and I also tried something that was essentially the same as Blue Moon but wasn't Blue Moon and it was also not completely revolting.

I like stuff like apple cider, how similarly does it taste?

Also, Blue Moon was suggested twice that seems like one I should really try.

Nayrt, but ciders tend to be a bit sourish. Not punch-you-in-the-face sour, but sour.

Nayrt - Ciders are my new favorite alcoholic beverage. Strongbow is a good place to start, but Ugly Orchard has several really good ones. I'd start with just a regular cider and then move to the ones that are combined with another fruit, etc. And just so you know, cider has a higher alcohol content than beer. That's bad if you want to drink a lot, but good if you want to drink a lot. :)
