I don't think the list getting taken down has anything to do with /co/. There were several lists made like that before – I remember one with blogs who post Shiro/paladin ships that was called a "list of people who support pedophilia" – but none of them got much attention. This one was really long (the creator promised the list would be updated several times a day) and included many well known fandom artists, who then started talking about it on their twitters. The whole thing blew up and twitter was ablaze for a while with drama about the list. I think whoever made it simply got scared of all the backlash. They probably didn't expect it to garner so much attention. And it's not like the list stopped existing, they just made it private so you have to ask to be able to see it.
