You can still go in the rocks, but you need to be on special tours. I'm pretty sure they only run a couple times a week (or month) and are at either sunrise or sunset.

I saw it once inside the rocks, and once from the "safe distance". Inside the rocks really was truly magical for me, especially since it was a misty morning, and it was a lot quieter. The time we went on the normal tour, it was raining crazy. Still lovely to see, but not quite the same experience.
