A date I didn't realize was a date until he started getting huffy.

What was he being huffy about? And also curious as to how you go out on a date not knowing it's a date. XD

I don't quite know anymore, as it was a while back. Anyway, this dude knew I had a boyfriend, but like we were friendly, and he's basically like: yo, there's this Vin Diesel film I wanna see, wanna come? So I'm like, sure. This is something I do with friends all the time.

But then he's like, coming to pick me up, and being all fussy/annoyed on not finding the place we agreed (while I just could have taken a tram) etc etc.

So by the time we go see the movie (couldn't find parking etc) stuff's just really...tense? I don't know. And like with another friend I'd just say something like "let's have a burger" and see the later showing, or another film.

But like, I can't explain, it became apparent it was just REALLY IMPORTANT that it's THIS MOVIE with ME and he was annoyed it wasn't going perfectly.
I dunno, it wasn't really one thing, but over the course of the afternoon it just gets more awkward and more awkward until it turns out this dude basically thought i'd dump my boyfriend for him.

Oh man, I totally recognize that feeling/mood. I once went on a date with a guy I met online. And it was...fine, I guess? He seemed pretty quiet and shy. But then he offered to drive me home. Now, this is a guy I met through online dating so I'm a bit hesitant, but he seems harmless so sure. But then he misses the exit we needed (twice!) and just in general got lost and the whole thing took almost as long as the bus ride would have. And worst was that he was just completely losing his cool over it, getting very anxious. I tried to reassure him but...In the end, I got a bit freaked out and got him to drop me off at a bus stop near my home, instead of actually in front of my door. In part I did that because when I gave him my number after we agreed to meet (in case one of us was late/couldn't make it or sth), he kept texting me cutesy little messages. We hadn't even met yet. The guy was probably just extremely shy and awkward, but he gave me the feeling he could turn stalker any second.

Guy started talking about how he liked the voices in his head.

I don't really date, so that honor goes to the time a former coworker asked if I wanted to check out a comic shop in his neighborhood and it turned out he didn't really read comics, asked if I wanted to stop for bubble tea (why bubble tea specifically? He didn't seem to like it himself and I only had a vague idea of what it was) and then insisted on walking between me and the street because if he'd walked on my other side and left passing cars an unobstructed view of me, people might think he was my pimp and I was for sale (?!)

Then, when we were headed back, he said he'd thought of it as a date and he'd love to do it again. Haven't spoken to him since. If he'd just wanted to hang out, preferably doing something at least one of us actually enjpyed, a few times and then asked me out, I might've said yes. But it was the first time we'd seen each other in a couple of years and I just wanted to catch up.

I haven't dated a guy in a looooooooooong long time. We were all teens and we didn't so much date as go to places we both liked together and occasionally kiss. so they didn't really get the chance to be too skeevy.

As a lesbian futurist, have you dated any skeevy girls?

Not any that are coming to mind, really.

I was 17. He was 33 (but I didn't realize it at the time, I thought he was in his mid-twenties). We went out to Norms, and he bought me a slice of pie (cherry pie, wink-wink-nudge-nudge). And then went to park and have sex.

Not gonna lie, if he'd brought a condom I would've gone for it. But when I said basically FUCK NO I AM NOT GONNA HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX he...didn't react well. Hadn't he bought me a piece of pie and everything? I finally had to pull the jailbait card.
