If only they didn't send hate to fans of ships they don't like, make hate list to encourage others to harass people who ship those ships they don't like, and even tried to doxx and use accusations of pedophilia... then sure, it wouldn't affect anyone.

That is absolutely what anti-ships are about. Here, check out from Voltron fandom just one of the MANY anti- blogs.

The person who runs it, and basically all the other people who comment, are rabid Klance shippers (the juggernaut ship in this fandom) who hate that the next most popular ship is Sheith, and insist that the immature bickering Keith and Lance do are totes healthy while anyone who likes Keith and Shiro making moon eyes at one another is EBIL PEDOS!!!111 >:(.

It's a bunch of using social justice buzzwords to try and shame people about liking a fictional cartoon pairing that has a dude who could be anywhere from 17-19 paired with a dude who is 25 at the absolute oldest, but most evidence points to around 21-23.

The worst part is how transparent it is that it's a ship war. Even when presented with evidence that Keith might be 18 or 19 and therefore perfectly legal, apparently having a relationship with a slightly older guy is #StillMorallyWrong. (Remember again too, they're CARTOONS. Legality should honestly have nothing to do with it.)

It's always a ship war though, that's honestly the basis for anti- ships. It happened in Attack On Titan fandom when Eruri fans got butthurt that Ereri was super popular, it happened in Free! when RinHaru fans got butthurt that MakoHaru was so popular that the show catered to those shippers massively (and the MakoHaru side wasn't exactly free of wank either, that's not my point though, I just feel the need to note that these things often devolve into toxicity all around), and more.

Anti-s are incredibly immature, I'm sorry. :/ It's one thing to have a NOTP. What the hell, I've added Klance to my NOTP list in figurative permanent marker because of the drama combined with the fact that I just hate that kind of dynamic anyway, but I don't go around letting Klancers know how WRONG and EVIL their ship is, even if I think the majority of them are pathetic losers that can't stay in their own lanes. (Seriously, sending gore and child porn and anonymous death threats to people who ship Sheith or any Shiro/paladin ships, sending death threats to THE VOICE ACTORS, all of this is a usual modus operandi for these people.)

I find all of it migraine inducing.
