So? John Wayne played the same character in every movie for decades. PG Wodehouse and Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the same story in slightly different ways over and over again for decades.

Tim Burton lives in a very big house and people keep giving him money to make movies exactly the way he wants to.

And more and more people are getting tired of his boring emo gawffic movies, and letting it be known all the way from movie critics down to the average movie-goer like we have here on F!S.

Michael Bay lives in a big house and gets money hand over fist too, but I don't see people defending the artistic integrity of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

nayrt - Yeah, but you don't see Michael Bay changing his formula, either. It makes money for him. I hate his films, but unfortunately, he makes money with his current formula, so it's unlikely to change.

Even Doyle fans totally mock his habit of recycling material, so maybe not the best example...
