Dragons. New and interesting takes on dragons are always the best. Honestly if something has dragons in it, I'll read it no matter the quality. Just give me dragons.

Elemental things of any sort are generally interesting.

Something based off chameleons (or the myths about them): something that can change colors and disguise itself.
