The writing is quite sciency for an animated show. I love it.

Not really. I mean one episode has an alien who splits himself into pieces, not as a gestalt entity but as basically Scrub's "Floating Head Doctor" only an alien, and those pieces float around creating trouble. That is not sciencey at all.
