I'm the kidney stone anon from above and that sounds awful! Please tell me you at least had strong painkillers? Painkillers don't work for me (at least the standard ones like oxycontin and vicodin, however those are spelled), and I couldn't imagine another month of that torture. I hope they never come back for you!

I was on vicodin and it worked the first month but I built up a tolerance by the second month, but upping the dosage was too hard on my stomach (I was a teenager and I'm also small so I was pretty sensitive in that regard). It was awful, I lost a ton of weight and was in so much pain. The only thing that helped was hot baths, idk why.

And of course then there was the post surgery recovery, which was bad (catheters man...) but nowhere near as bad as having before the surgery.

And I hope they don't come back too. Like you said above, I would not wish them on anyone!

It was awful on my stomach too! Ugh, I so feel you. And I also lost 30 pounds because I basically didn't eat for the month because of the pain. And for me it was hot showers with me curled up on the floor of the shower so the scalding hot water could hit directly on my kidney. So I understand the hot baths. (I hate that you had to suffer through it, but it is kinda nice to speak to someone who knows exactly how horrific this experience is. The urologist assigned to me at the hospital did not have a great bedside manner and kept treating me like I was a malingering idiot for not being perfectly fine due to his brilliant treatment.)

Mine have come back, but not as bad, thankfully. Now it is usually just a day or two of "I want to kill myself" instead of a prolonged time. I have no idea how you made it two months. I don't even want to think of that happening.
