Jack and Gwen are a lot of things, but perfect they are fucking not. The characterization is, if nothing else, also consistent, regardless of Jack and Gwen's presence in the room. Hence, not canon!sues. I'm sick to death of people accusing characters of being canon!sues because they just plain don't like them, rather than because said characters actually are canon!sues. I don't give a shit if they don't like Torchwood, or Jack, or Gwen, or any of the other characters. I just think that the OP's reasons are stupid.
