Actually, Remus's first name isn't even mentioned in the book until after the revelation that he's a werewolf, so you're a bigger idiot than you thought. You should have taken the hint from the Lupin part, not the Remus part.

Well, shit. But I definitely remember going into reading that book knowing his first name somehow. It was the first one I owned since my gran gave it to me; maybe she mentioned his name without spoiling the end? Crap, I have no idea now.
