SJWs shouldn't get excited by this movie. Their reaction to the merch just killed dead any chance of Disney venturing out of Caucasian-ville for the next decade. Well done.

There's merch out already? I haven't seen anything.

There has been merch out for a couple of months, but SJWs threw a shit fit about some of it so there was a recall. Trouble is that Disney is all about the merch, the movies are basically just an excuse to bring out new merch, and with them throwing fits about non-Caucasian merch like they did they killed any indigenous minority centric characters and movies for a long time.

The AYRT is talking about a single Halloween costume. Maui's costume involved a padded brown top that represented the character's bare skin; some people protested; and Disney pulled the costume. Moana's costume (which is just the shirt and skirt she wears in the film) is still available, and of course there'll be all sorts of other merch for sale later.

This really isn't the big deal that the AYRT is trying to make it out to be.
