Ah ha ha. I have been watching all the seasons of this (i didn't see them before) and am currently mid-season three.

And i was boggling at the 'American pie' challenge. In what world is butternut squash and chocolate pastry crust pumpkin pie? Who in the world puts chocolate crust and sour cherries into a pecan pie? It was bizarre.

I don't think I've seen that season, but I heard there was an ep where they were supposed to make "American pies" but everyone made tarts instead? Maybe they don't have the right kind of pans/dishes.

Pecan pie with sour cherries sounds awful.

They were told 'American pies' and people made squash (not pumpkin, just random squash with chocolate) peanut butter, key lime, pecan pie (with chocolate) and...something else...can't think.... But they were all gross.

Plus half the people made sure to say how 'revolting' American desserts/pies were and how to make them better you had to 'British' them up. Just stupid.

Yeahhhh... I thought that whole challenge was just nuts. Hardly anyone made anything resembling an actual American pie. The pumpkin pie in particular was kind of horrific.

Yes! They even said 'it has no top crust/lid' and i was all...what? To be fair, things like key lime and such don't, but...the stuff they made. Bizarre.
