I feel I'm probably doing the man a disservice, but I always liked Aragorn mostly as a reassuring background presence. You know, the guy who, no matter what happened, would pick people up and scrape them back together and keep them moving. I was happy he was there, but I never felt much need to be interested in him, because he was going to be there doing his thing regardless?
