this is fairly well discussed across all fandoms.

Most fandoms I'm in are mostly female. I'm not in any sports fandom. Sorry I didn't already know the answer to the question I asked. I asked specifically because I don't see gender play a huge role in the fandoms I'm in.

(I see men being gatekeepers in gaming fandom in general, but I don't really participate directly in that)
