Both my parents are retired and my brother and I both have pretty decent jobs, so we're all in the 'if we need/want it we can pretty much afford to buy it for ourselves' boat, but I try and refrain from buying small things I want between Oct 1 and Christmas so that they have like... DVDs, books, etc to buy.

And yeah we usually get one big thing and a few small things from them. I got a nice new vacuum last year, it was awesome.

OH YEAH I forgot to mention 90% of my presents last year and for graduation were giftcards. Which I loved. I haven't paid for a movie out of pocket all year unless it was at the Carmike and not the Regal.
